I wanted to let you know it potentially will extend the quality of life for ferrets with insulinoma.

Hello, a few months ago, I spoke with you about how I was curious about how adding your ZERO food to the diet of my ferret with insulinoma would affect him. I am ecstatic to report that a week ago, for the first time since October 2016, his BG was well in the normal range for ferrets (100 mg/dL). His medications have not been adjusted, so that means a dietary change influenced the increase. He usually averages in the mid 70's. I know you have seen regression of diabetes in the cats that eat this food, but I wanted to let you know it potentially will extend the quality of life for ferrets with insulinoma.

Do note that I mix your food with another low carbohydrate diet. 2/3 cup of the other plus 1/3 cup your food is what he eats in about a day. I am gradually increasing your food to see if his BG will rise even higher.

The vet isn't sure if this means the tumors are shrinking or if they just aren't growing, but it is definitely very rare for the BG to increase without drug intervention.

Thank you for your wonderful diet.
