Feeding Instructions

There are two ways to feed Young Again Cat Foods:

At YA, we highly recommend Free-Choice feeding. Please follow the instructions carefully. For additional feeding suggestions and assistance, please read Transitioning your cat.

If you must restrict feed your cat, please use these guidelines:

Average consumption for 24 hours:
8 lb. cat –  Level ¼ cup
10 lb. cat – Rounded ¼ cup
12 lb. cat – Level 1/3 cup
15 lb. cat – Rounded 1/3 cup
20-25 lb. cat – Level ½ cup

For Maine Coons and other giant breeds add ¼ cup to each of above measures for 12 pounds and up.

PLEASE NOTE: Because Young Again is a nutrient-dense food, your cat will eat MUCH LESS than other cat foods. It does not mean your cat does not like our food.

My cat was diagnosed with diabetes in Sept 2024. We had a very scary first few weeks where she went into DKA and almost died. We got her onto a wet food regimen, which quickly got her into remission by November of 2024. HOWEVER, our cat has always been a CRUNCH ADDICT... So switching to only wet food has been a challenge for the past year..

As I continued to look for different types of wet foods that I could feed that might finally be the one she loved, I kept coming upon a few people talking about Young Again and how it was a game changer for their crunch addicts. As mentioned, we had a very scary experience in the beginning with DKA and hospitalization so I really hemmed and hawed over if we should give this a try since every doctor I had spoken to said dry was a no, no. But the more I researched the more I found that this could really be a solution!

We just finished our first bag of the LID Zero Mature food (my cat has seemed to develop a sensitive stomach the past year or so after eating one single brand of dry food her entire 11 years I think maybe all the different varieties of wet messed with her?) as this food seemed to be limited ingredient and might work well. She took to it IMMEDIATELY!! I knew I wouldn't be able to do the free feed option because she gobbles it down so quick, so we feed her a rounded 1/4 broken up into a few portions throughout the day. Since switching over she is more spunky than she has been in probably 5 years!! I feel like we've got a kitten on our hands again!

Yes, the poops are smelly... but honestly it is a small price to pay for a very, very happy cat who gets to enjoy her crunch while still remaining in remission!! I didn't know that could be possible.

I am so thankful for Young Again providing a solution for very low carb, HIGH QUALITY dry food for those of us with diabetic kitties that are crunch addicts and just won't reliably eat wet food! I didn't think it would ever be possible to have her enjoy the satisfying crunch again. It has been a long year of wet food challenges, but I think we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel thanks to Young Again!

If you have a diabetic cat that hates wet food then look no further! I can't recommend it enough!

This cat food saved my Bengals life. He abruptly became allergic to most proteins at 9 years old. He was not well for 3-4 months where we worked closely with our vet. We ran a blood allergy test (which took 2-3 months to get those results) and we moved to a single protein diet for set periods of time, hoping to identify what food could work for him. Our cat has been on wet food but we had been striking out on everything we tried. Absolutely nothing worked. I found this company and was hopeful when I read that this food was designed for cats with protein allergies, including chicken (at the time we still didn’t have the results but he is allergic to chicken). Within days, Momo GI challenges were significantly improved. After 2-4 weeks, his stools were completely normal. We also add supplements to his food (as directed by our vet) and he is gaining weight again. Hopefully we will see an increase in lean muscle within the next 1-2 months.
